The Accounting Subject Matter Expert Business Consultant at QOC Innovations is an essential link between a client's business needs and their Odoo ERP system. This role bridges accounting knowledge with ERP software, guiding clients to configure systems for financial processes like GL, AP, AR, reporting and compliance, acting as the voice of the customer to ensure the ERP meets business needs, supports testing, manages change and delivers functional success for finance teams. 

Responsibilities

  • Work with finance stakeholders to define, document, and prioritize financial requirements for the ERP
  • Identify gaps between business needs and standard ERP functionality, proposing solutions
  • Configure ERP modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, etc.) and design reports, ensuring alignment with accounting best practices and regulatory needs.
  • Analyze existing accounting workflows, identify inefficiencies, and map current processes
  • Work with internal team members collaborating on designing and implementing custom solutions

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting. CPA and/or MBA a plus.
  • 3 to 5 years of Accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial management
  • Excellent communication, bridging business and technical teams

Nice to have

  • Previous ERP implementation experience
  • Project management fundamentals
  • Odoo implementation experience
